Great Wall

We just finished up day two of sightseeing and adjusting to China time.  We had an amazing day.  The Great Wall was spectacular.  I think it could also be called the Great Staircase since there was barely one level spot on it.  At least on the part that we saw. We climbed for 45 minutes one way and then turned around and climbed down.  Well, four of us climbed down while Thaddeus slid down the railing as much as he could.  So cool to actually be there.

It was another cold windy day but we were prepared with our bargain purchases from last night.  See below for the super warm hats that we bought.

Looking down towards the parking lot
We also toured a jade factory and corresponding store.  Some of the carvings they made out of jade were amazing.

We drove past the Olympic park and saw the Bird's Nest and Water Cube.

We also had the opportunity to attend a Chinese acrobat show.  Very talented  performers!

We have an early start in the morning to catch our flight to Zhengzhou.  One day closer!

Toasty warm in those awesome hats!
